We run an organic selfsustained farm with CSA (community supported agriculture) as our marketing model. We are also an educational farm for organic climate friendly self-sustainable vegetable farming.
We are a fossil free farm and currently have a forest garden under development.
Anders and Karin have farmed the land of Ramsjögård since the mid-70’s. In 1989, we became KRAV-certified and the entire production is now KRAV approved. We grow vegetables, potatoes, and grains. We use a system called CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). CSA started in Japan when a group of women were dissatisfied with the supply of vegetables in the store and turned directly to the farmers who started a local delivery system. In Japanese, this was called Teiki, which means cooperation. Since then, CSA has spread to different parts of the world. The arrangement in a CSA benefits both parties – the farmers have a steady source of income and members can buy locally-grown, organic food without intermediaries. In our CSA, we plan what will be grown during the year with our members. Goods are delivered regularly throughout the year and members are often involved in certain phases of cultivation.
